After locking was set up in a high school and the teenagers were arrested under the threat of a firearm in early May, Guelph Police follow in the footsteps of many police services in the United States by issuing a warning to students to play the “Senior assassin” game.
“The popular game known as ‘Senior Assassin’ involves high school students in competition to eliminate other participants by pulling them with water rifles or other projectiles in a specified time,” the police said in a statement.
The service then noted that the game is not only played during school hours, but also after hours.
Guelph’s police said one of the main problems is that the weapons used in the game often seemed realistic, which creates a concern for other members of the community, including some who play the game, and the police can be called.
This is what happened on May 1, when a Guelph high school was briefly placed on locking while the officers replied after it was reported that adolescents with firearms were inside a car outside the school.
