The street festival season is upon us!
The kick -off of a summer of Milwaukee filled with festivals is Locust Street Festival, a free event to attend four stages of live music and the famous beer race. Bay view Gallery Night and Bay View Jazz Festival will transform various companies in the neighborhood into art sites and Festa Italiana will celebrate Italian cuisine, music, art and more Henry Maier Festival Park.
May 29 to June 5: Catering weekly week
Take advantage of some of the best dishes that Milwaukee has to offer throughout the city center, an event that offers several dishes in more than 25 restaurants. Running in collaboration with Bay View Gallery Night is the Bay View Jazz Festival, where companies such as Cache cider and 1840 Brewing Co. will welcome alignments of variable jazz musicians throughout the evening. May 30 to June 1: Festa Italiana
A bocce tournament, a singing competition and a better sauce competition are only some of the experiences available for the guests of Festa Italiana, a celebration of Italian culture organized at the Henry Maier Festival Park. Dozens of sellers will serve classic Italian dishes while acts like the Milwaukee mandolin orchestra And Frank Lamphere and his Jazz Pack Quintet perform on two different steps. Italian Idol will put the aspiring singers against each other to have the chance to win $ 1,000, and guests will be able to take advantage of some of the first fireworks in the Milwaukee festival season on May 31 at 10:30 p.m. Festa Italiana will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday. May 31: the large excavation sale of the Riverwest river
More than 200 sellers will settle in Riverwest The largest selling in the neighborhood. June 1: Rue Locust festival
The first summer street festival is there! The 46th Annual Festival Locust Street will include four steps of music from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. as well as sellers, food trucks and more. The Locust Street Beer Run is back and the participants will run or travel a 1.6 mile route with four beer stops along the way. Locust Street Festival is free. June 1: UPAF ride for the arts
Go on your bike and drive for a good cause as part of the UPAF driving for the arts. This fundraising bike ride takes the participants through a unique route that uses the Interstate 794, taking the runners from downtown Milwaukee to Cudahy and return.
