In the middle of the “fourth industrial revolution”, AI creates an unstoppable wave of change. Even if I write this, new innovations are emerging all over the world and the momentum of the transformation continues to build. Measures can be taken to slow down this transformation of our lives and our society, but they will change everything, and companies like NEC must pave the way.
For 125 years, the NEC group has created value for society by mastering the most advanced technologies of each era. To this turning point, we continue to contribute to the world thanks to companies centered on digital technologies such as AI and biometric authentication.
The mid -term management plan of NEC 2025 progresses at a faster pace than originally expected, and our attention – and that of our stakeholders – is actively moving to the next mid -term plan. This year, we will finish our preparations to accelerate our growth while simultaneously fulfilling our solid commitments to the market.
The 110,000 members of our organization around the world are at the heart of our “Zero client” approach, when we become our own first customer when implementing new technologies. This allows us to effectively introduce new business processes for customers thanks to digital transformation (DX) and business transformation (CX) which are based on successes and our real experience, such as the “blustellar” value creation model.
Every day, we strive to promote an environment where AI can be used safely and safely by taking advantage of the knowledge that we have acquired by developing AI from zero and operating products from other companies. Consequently, we are now implementing advanced technological progress such as the AI agent and small-scale language models (SLM) to extend use cases in various industries thanks to co-creation with customers.
NEC also forges cybersecurity capacities, now and develop digital social infrastructures, such as underwater cables and satellite communications. We create essential products for the future through these initiatives in advanced technologies and more, including optical communications, quantum cryptography, secret calculation and discovery of drugs in AI.
The commercial restructuring of group companies in Japan, NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation and NEC Nexa Solutions, is another major step in our evolution as a DX leader for local governments and small and medium -sized customers in Japan, while we are also trying to further improve our forces worldwide.
All these initiatives are linked to the objective of the NEC group, which consists in “creating the social values of security, security, equity and efficiency to promote a more sustainable world where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential”. At the heart of the achievement of this objective is each member of our diverse workforce.
