A month after two young brothers and sisters disappeared in Nova Scotia, there is apparently no answer in the Look for Lilly and Jack Sullivan.

Lilly and Jack Sullivan, aged six and four, were missing around 10 a.m. on May 2, 2025 in the county of Pictou in Nova Scotia.

The sister and brother – aged six and four years old – were missing on the morning of May 2 at their home on Gairloch Road at Lansdowne station, about 30 kilometers from New Glasgow, NS
The children’s stepfather Daniel Martell said Lilly and Jack were at home Friday morning with him, his partner and their baby.
He said that when they noticed that the children were missing, they immediately ran out to find them.
“I was ahead of the helicopters, ahead of the drones … shouting as hard as possible, until my throat hurts me, flowing in the water that was in my size,” he said.
“They hate being wet and cold, so they would be immediately returned to the house. The only two prints (foot) are right next to the house facing the road and that’s it. ”

The RCMP said that the brothers and sisters would have “wandered”. They noted that there was no evidence of kidnapping, so it was not an Amber alert.
Martell asked that research be extended to provincial borders, in case the children have been removed.

The ground research and rescue teams – alongside police, drones and planes – have traveled the woods daily after disappearance.
There were more than 160 people on site, pushing through rainy and misty conditions.

Martell also told Global News that he had not had contact with the mother of children since May 3, when she left the region.
“You don’t have to trust my word, but I am the only one to make media for Jack and Lilly-trying to keep this story alive and find them,” he said in a recent interview.
When reached by phone, the mother of children, Malehya Brooks-Murray, said that she had been informed by the RCMP not to speak more with the media. His mother, Cyndy Murray, also spoke to Global News at the time and said that the family hoped a positive result.

The RCMP said that it was an “effort of all hands on the bridge” and that even if they reduced complete research to look more “specific spaces”, they do not end their efforts.
“We are not concerned and we do not give up,” said the staff sergeant. Curtis Mackinnon, district commander for the RCMP of the County District of Pictou.

On May 8 and 9, the police said that the RCC underwater recovery team had searched water bodies around Lansdowne station, but the two-day operation “revealed no evidence”.
Renewed research took place on the ground and in the air. The RCMP said that 115 volunteers were released during the weekend to paint again in specific areas.
“The search for this weekend will be carefully examined and evaluated by investigators and research managers to help plan other research efforts on the field and air,” said force.
The children’s stepfather said he was grateful for the efforts of volunteers and authorities who participated in renewed research.
“The scenario that everyone hopes is that we bring them home. This is the main objective. This is always the first day,” said Martell.
The RCMP confirmed that the brothers and sisters had been seen in public With family members the day before the disappearance, depending on the video sequences and the accounts of eye witness.
The police also made a call for images or videos of Dashcam along Gairloch Road between noon on April 28 and noon on May 2.
Martell told Global News that he had passed a polygraph test, which he said that he had proposed to undergo.
“I have results and I don’t know if I can share these results, but they were good in my favor. I’m going to say it,” he said.

Research has resumed the family’s house Gairloch Road for two days of targeted research.
Amy Hansen, head of research and rescuers of Colchester County Ground, said that the search for this weekend was focused on the Gairloch Road area and along a “pipeline path” nearby, where a small trunk footprint had already been found.
A crew of around 75 resumed research in rain conditions on Saturday, alongside three drones and seven drone operators. Violent winds and an incoming geomagnetic storm kept drones on the ground on Sunday, said Hansen.
The researchers had not discovered anything again by the middle of the afternoon on Sunday and a discussion will take place with the RCMP to find out if another targeted research is necessary.
