Prepare to experience never being before. THE Sound sensation The exhibition at the Gateway Science Museum offers a practical interactive journey in the science of sound and hearing. This traveling exhibition of Ithaca, NY, includes 14 interactive stations designed to arouse curiosity and commitment to visitors of all ages. Visitors can:

- Enter the cries room and see if they can be as noisy as a reaction engine.
- Experience the height, the frequency and the decibels thanks to engaging activities.
- Create their own film soundtrack and explore how the sound shapes emotion.
- See the sound in action with interactive devices and games that test hearing.
The executive director of Gateway, Adrienne McGraw, considers the exhibition as a precious learning opportunity for students of Chico State, teachers and the community.
“We encourage teachers to integrate this exhibition into their programs and give students an immersive way to find out about sound and hearing,” she said.
Young visitors will love it! Photograph, where they can try animal ears such as elephants, bats and rabbits. And they can test the listening skills by identifying mysteries and locating “hidden” animals.
The exhibition takes place until May 3, 2025.
Music manufacturers series
To celebrate the power of sound, the museum also launches its monthly Music Makers series. The first event, Saturday, February 15, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. is a meeting with Harpist Susan Crane, who will perform and share stories on this enchanting instrument.
The Music Makers series is included with admission to the museum and is designed for primary children (all children must be accompanied by an adult).
