Nike has entered into an exclusive partnership with a top women’s professional cycling team. FDJ-SUEZ it starts in 2025.
As the team’s “official lifestyle apparel supplier”, this new agreement means FDJ-SUEZ is the only professional cycling team, in both the women’s and men’s pelotons, to work directly with the globally recognized brand.
This partnership marks a new coup for the French team after the signing of the former Tour de France Women winner Demi Vollering on a two-year contract for 2025 and 2026 seasons. She joins the team as co-leader alongside Evita Music and new signature Juliette Labous.
Vollering announced a personal sponsorship with Nikeapart from his former sponsorship of the SD Worx-Protime team, last April. She joined Marc CavendishLetizia Paternoster and Cameron Wurf, who struck similar deals with the US-based sportswear brand. Although Nike does not currently make cycling products, Cavendish and Wurf wore shoes with a prominent Nike Swoosh.
FDJ-SUEZ has confirmed that athletes and staff will wear lifestyle clothing designed by Nike this season, combining aesthetics and functionality. “A mutual commitment to connecting sport and culture,” read the team’s statement.
For Nike and FDJ-SUEZ, the team said the collaboration represents a unique opportunity to explore new horizons while partnering with one of the world’s most iconic brands.
“This partnership with Nike is a unique opportunity for our team. Collaborating with such an iconic brand will strengthen our identity while bringing a new dimension to our project,” declared Stephen Delcourt, Managing Director of FDJ-SUEZ.
“We look forward to building this long-term collaboration, improving the image of our team both on and off the competition stage.”
FDJ-SUEZ has already experienced a change in bicycle sponsorship move from Lapierre to Specializedin an announcement in December. The deal coincided with the team’s 25th anniversary and the signing of Vollering.
Although Specialized will equip FDJ-SUEZ with its bikes, it will also continue to partner with Vollering’s former team, SD Worx-Protime, for the foreseeable future, with a deal in place until the end of the 2028 season .
