The former star of “Baywatch” Nicole Eggert wants others to try to live better as she treats stadium breast cancer.
On April 28, Eggert spoke during a gala of Women’s Cancer Research Foundation on the way it can be “healthy” in America.
“I think people really need to start living a preventing lifestyle of the disease,” said Eggert Fox News Digital. “It’s n ° 1. It’s very difficult to be healthy here in America. It’s just a fact.”
EGGERT was diagnosed for the first time with breast cancer of stadium cribriform carcinoma in December 2023. During an interview with the True pink podcastEggerlet spoke of the way in which months earlier, in October, she felt a “spear” in her chest.
“I felt an exciting in my chest,” said Eggert. “And all of a sudden, I had started, I had the impression of exploding. As it was gaining weight as quickly, suddenly, and, I thrill. So I did a self-examination and I found a big bump, and I panicked, of course, and I called for my appointment earlier and to obtain a diagnostic mammography instead of my regular.”
“So, in mid-October, I had this meeting and I had a biopsy the next day,” said Eggert, “and at the end of October, in early November, I had my diagnosis.”
Although the actress is always confronted with cancer, she has taken a positive perspective on the situation.
“I think it’s avoidable, but if you are with the diagnosis, I think it’s about using modern medicine with lifestyle changes and all the other things you can do to prevent diseases,” said Eggert. “And that’s a lot. … There is so much more than you can and should do.”
According to the National Cancer Research FoundationObtaining a mammography “means that the treatment can be started earlier during the disease, perhaps before it spreads.” Eggeret told Foxdigital that his “proactive” prospects on the treatment of his cancer had motivated him.
“This is really what made me move forward and healthy, because you feel so desperate … helpless and all these things, but if you are proactive, it can really help,” said Eggert. “At least for me, it really helps to keep me motivated and to continue me.”
