The design of an skating rink in the NHL, inspired by the brand of the university’s emblematic sporting spirit, presents the daring colors of the Blue Jackets of Union Blue, White and Out-But Red. The barrel, a key element of the Blue Jackets home matches, will be fired each time Columbus scores a goal.

The members of the Ohio State University Rotc will present colors and increase the American flag. The opening ceremony will end with a drop of ceremonial washer and an overview presenting 2 F-16s of the 180th Fighter Wing in Toledo and a KC-135 of the 121st aerial supply wing in Columbus. Tributes to Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau are planned throughout the match.
The second intermission will showcase a celebration of the Ohio State National Championship teams, notably the national champion of university football playoffs, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Spirit and Women’s Hockey 2024. The Ohio State Athletic Band will occur during the second intermission as well as throughout the match.
The interpretation of the American sign language (ASL) of the performance of the American hymns will be provided by two natives of Columbus as part of the League partnership with PXP, with Elyssa Williams, 13, with the Sourde and John interpreter and John Lestina as interpreter ASL.
The NHL in ASL, an alternative broadcast program dedicated completely to the deaf and misunderstanding community using the American sign language, will return for the 2025 Navy Federal Credit NHL Stadium series and will be available to broadcast exclusively on ESPN + in the United States and On Sportsnet + in Canada. The NHL in ASL, presented by Scotiabank in Canada, will star in deaf commentators offering real -time coverage of the game by play and color comments in ASL, visual descriptions of major impact parts and graphic visualizations with personalized emojis to represent key events on events on events on events on events on the main ice throughout the Game. For the first time, television will have interviews with players live from Ohio Stadium with Jason Altmann, chief of the PXP and co-animator Noah Blankenship.
