The Newport Region Chamber of Commerce and Newport Economic Development Commission (NEDC) will offer a new tool for local businesses, owners and real estate agents. They will now have access to data analysis reports powered by placed. Ai, a location intelligence platform, Jon Chadwell, Executive Director of Newport Economic Development Commission, told Talk Business & Politics.
The Chamber and the NEDC bought a software subscription to use in the growth of local businesses and in the recruitment of new companies in the community. Placing .i use anonymized data for mobile devices to provide in-depth information on consumer behavior and market trends, he said.
These reports may include pedestrian traffic models, a mapping of commercial zones, a customer journey analysis, a competitive comparative analysis, demographic data and psychographs, residence times, a frequency of visit, an impact on events, etc.
Thanks to this partnership, the member companies of the Chamber can now receive reports of 20 to 25 pages without cost beyond their membership contributions. These reports generally cost between $ 500 and $ 1,500 when purchased through private consultants.
The number of reports that each company can receive each year is based on their level of membership. Reports can even compare local channel companies against national and national performance, providing market information.
Owners and real estate agents can access free reports if they are a member of the Chamber or by involving NEDC during recruitment visits with potential tenants for a location. These property -oriented reports may include the number of traffic, nearby commercial activities, community commercial models, updated demographic data, etc.
To help the business world understand how to use this tool, Newport Chamber and NEDC will organize an information session on June 23 at TheTech Depot. Participants will receive an overview of what is available via placing.ai and how to maximize data value.
From July 1, 2025, Placed reports will be available for local businesses on request. The reports will be dealt with according to the principle of first arrival, first served. When receiving a completed admission form, the Chamber and the NEDC will provide candidates with a completion date estimated at their report.
