The popular restaurant and the entertainment location should open in Mayfaire in Wilmington on May 26, 2025.

  • Wilmington is about to obtain several new entertainment and leisure spaces.
  • These projects range from a DAVE & BUSTER which will soon open up to installations offered such as the OSEISM OASIS and the leisure village of Olsen Park.
  • Plans include a variety of equipment such as arcade games, bowling alleys, pickleball fields, swimming pools and even a potential concert hall.
  • Some projects have received approvals and progress, while others are still in the stages of concept planning.

Wilmington could soon welcome a wave of new spaces to relax, explore and become active.

Projects have been placed for their great opening in a few weeks to ambitious concepts still in the planning stages, several additions could transform the city’s social and recreational landscape.

Here is an overview of five entertainment spaces that could make their mark in the port city in the near future.

DAVE & BUSTER

Location: 953 Town Center Drive Suite D150, Wilmington.

Officially place yourself in downtown Mayfaire on Monday, May 26Dave & Buster’s is a restaurant and an entertainment place offering arcade games, a sports bar and food under one roof.

The location of Wilmington will include more than 100 games, including all the new games that Dave & Buster, Morgan Kore, Managing Director of Dave & Buster’s, previously told The Starnews. Some games are even exclusive to Dave & Buster, including one developed in partnership with the UFC.

The installation also has a WOW wall of $ 250,000 covering the entire length of the dining room with the possibility of presenting up to 12 different sporting events at a time. Two social bays with interactive gameplay will also be available for rental on time.

Strike

Location: 5601 Oleander Drive, Wilmington.

In a section of 6.12 acres of the Oleander Drive property, the promoters proposed plans to A commercial family entertainment center known as strikes.

With more than 40,000 square feet, the proposed building would have a footprint of 29,168 square feet with a mezzanine of 11,648 square feet.

The plans of the site describe a 10-way bowling alley, including private tracks, a traditional arcade, a table of pucks, sweet darts, a 30-foot LED screen above an open back bar, a reception, a launch of ax, three private bedrooms, a storage space and an office, a kitchen, rolled doors, a scene, a covered patio, a first side of the table Pickle lessons.

The second level includes a multi-sport simulator, community tables, parts of parts of parts, table footballs, arcade games, eight duck bowling lanes, mild seats, three currency billiards, a playing space, an ice hockey, toilets, a waitress station and a bar.

Club in Midtown

Location: 4950 Holly Tree Road and 340 Westchester Road, Wilmington.

A redevelopment plan, known as the Midtown clubWill improve the existing equipment of Holly Tree Racquet and Swim Club and will introduce new additions.

The private club is currently made up of 10 tennis courts, a swimming pool with a swimming pool and a clubhouse with kitchen and a small shop.

The expansion proposed would convert eight existing tennis courts into 10 outdoor covered pickleball fields, renovate a two-story clubhouse with a restaurant and a high-end bar, and build a new interior pickleball installation, extending on more than 33,000 square feet. A complex -style pool, a new swimming pool with saunas, outdoor seats, extended parking lot and real green outdoor grass are also planned as part of development.

The private installation will also include a sports center, with golf simulators and a games room. As part of the project, the pool terrace would also be reinstalled, an installation of toilets would be rebuilt and two of the 10 existing tennis courts would be maintained with the surfaces given.

The Wilmington municipal council granted a special use permit for the project on February 4, 2025, with a unanimous vote.

Northside oasis

Location: 1310 Mcrae St., Wilmington.

The Northside of Wilmington for non -profit has proposed conceptual plans for a sports and cultural artistic complex, known as Oasis optimismThrough 20 acres behind the existing club of boys and girls in the south-east of North Carolina.

The project plans include a gymnasium and a sportplex sport, an arts and community culture center in Northside, an athletics sports center, a welcome center, an educational (or educational entertainment) center, an amphitheater and a health and well-being hotel with a restaurant on the roof and an event space.

The main characteristics of development include an Olympic swimming pool, a skateboarding parking, a 100-meter obstacle course in ninja, roof tennis and pickleball courts, an African-American athletic history museum in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution and more.

In December 2024, Dr. Phillip Brown, Northside Oasis of the chairman of the board of directors of Wilmington, said in the next stages of Starnews concerning the understanding of what it would take to access the property. At that time, the founder and designer of Concept Tracy McCullen also said that the organization was trying to develop a formal and pro formal concept.

Leisure village of Park Olsen

Location: Olsen firm adjacent to Interstate 40 in Murrayville Road in Wilmington.
