THE Chattanooga city began the construction of its new commercial resource center, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.
With a budget of $ 1.8 million, the new center will serve as a resource for local entrepreneurs by focusing on those who have historically faced obstacles trying to access the support and financing of companies.
“This center is to extend the opportunity to the ownership service, a pillar of the Chattanooga plan,” said Mayor Tim Kelly. “Too often, entrepreneurs – in particular those without existing networks or financial support – looking for the resources they need. Creation of a space where business owners can access the right tools, expertise and funding, we ensure that everyone, in particular those of poorly served communities, have A good success. »»
Located at 332 East Martin Luther King Boulevard, the center will provide technical assistance, financing opportunities and access to legal and accounting services. The installation should open its doors in October 2025 and include training rooms accessible to ADA and on -site support for lenders, such as:
- Community development financial institutions
- Small businesses
- Local credit unions
“Rather than duplication of existing services, the Business Resource Center will unify them, which facilitates entrepreneurs to sail more easily and to receive the practical support they need to succeed,” said Sarah Mattson, director of entrepreneurship the city.
