East Georgia State College (EGSC) has launched its new Baccalaureate Program in Business Administration (BBA), offering students an affordable and flexible path to advance their education and their commercial career.
This semester, the East Georgia State College (EGSC) has marked an exciting step with the launch of its new Baccalaureate program in Business Administration (BBA), designed to allow students the skills and knowledge necessary to pros in the world business competitive. Based on the most popular associate diploma program of the college, the expansion of the program as a baccalaureate offers students a way to complete their business studies to the EGSC rather than transfer to another institution.
The launch of the BBA program not only offers exciting opportunities to traditional students, but also attracts those who seek to continue their careers or create new ones, as Amber O’ConnorThe operations director of the Grande Chamber of Vidalia ®, who decided to return to university after marrying her husband, founded a family and starting her career in the room.
Amber’s journey to return to university was not typical. After completing her secondary studies in Wheeler County High School, she attended the college for a short period to continue a diploma in education. Amber quickly discovered that the path was not for her. She decided to take a break at university. Following this decision, Amber and her husband, Chase, were getting married and she started working in the Grand Vidalia ® room. Amber has always thought of returning to the university to finish a diploma to help him excel in his position in the House. She also had another motivation – her three -year -old daughter.
“Of course, there are a lot of jobs that do not need a university degree, but I want to be able to tell my little girl one day that you can do it if you put your mind. I also know that with this diploma, I have the opportunity to earn more money so that I can help her provide her with the things she needs and wants, “said Amber.
Amber has family members with small businesses and her husband also spoke of starting one. Having a trade diploma would allow her to help her family and her husband if they need someone with professional training.
Amber signed up in an institution, but quickly discovered that she could attend the EGSC for half the price and always have the flexibility of online courses. Having a full -time job, a young child and a spouse who travels often for work, Amber knew that she needed a program that would work with her schedule and would be flexible when she needed it. With the help and encouragement of Natasha Goss, an EGSC business teacher, Amber was transferred to the EGSC to continue its partners.
“Return to university can be very overwhelming at the start,” said Amber. “Each teacher with whom I interacted in Eastern Georgia has been encouraging. They publish encouraging words in the student portal and push you to do your best. They may not know what we are going through, but they remain positive and give positive comments that can make a huge difference. »»
Amber has graduated as a business administration and decided to continue his studies in the Baccalaureate program in Business Administration at the EGSC.
“I was very excited to learn that Eastern Georgia began the baccalaureate program. Have continuous flexibility and affordability helped me make the decision to continue. I thought of taking another break, but I knew it would be very difficult to return to university after taking leave, “said Amber.
Amber said that she was also motivated to continue by her little daughter and the EGSC teachers.
“Professor Natasha Goss helped me so much. She is one of my biggest supporters and it means a lot to have someone like that on the college side of that supporting me. She and others have encouraged me to continue in the baccalaureate program because they know that I have it in me. »»

The Baccalaureate in Business Administration is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills and experiences necessary to succeed in various commercial and management roles. Students can select in a range of trade courses to meet their needs or interest. Concentrations are offered in financial technology, health care administration, office administration and technology, cinema and television post-production and data science. The program also offers the possibility of working with employers in the region to meet the educational needs of their employees and create student internship opportunities.
