New Bedford The city celebrates New Year’s Eve offers free activities throughout downtown and Custom House Square from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31. The night will end with superb fireworks at 8:30 p.m., lighting up the port.
From live shows to magicians to fire spinning, the range of entertainment caters for all ages.

What events take place during the New Year’s party in the city?
You can attend the Toe Jam Puppet Band from 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, 18 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford. They will liven up the party with silly songs and dances.
Dance in 2024 with DJ Gazelle from 5-7 p.m. at the Vault Performing Arts Center & Pub, 791 Purchase St., New Bedford. There will be LED characters, Spider-Man and a photo booth as well as family tunes.
From 6pm to 8pm, lower Union Street will be closed for Sing Karaoke with DJ Fuzzy Slippaz. Choose a song to sing your heart out with family karaoke.

Relax to the sounds of cool jazz at the New Bedford Harbor Hotel’s 222 Union Restaurant and Bar. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy the lounge, cocktails and a special menu while listening to an ensemble playing jazz, classical and selections from the great collections of American songs.
The Whaling National Historical Park Visitor Center, located at 33 William Street, will host Likewise, I’m Sure from 5 to 8 p.m. This four-piece, multi-instrumentalist group, including fiddles, banjo, cello, bass and accordion, brings tunes to relax. has.
