Curtsies presentation

“Ladies and gentlemen, young people fill!” Such was the hearty ad made by Mark RomigThe master of ceremonies at the start of young people fills New Orleans, when the 21 young women in wire were all positioned on the stage. Before everyone was presented with his father, the master of ceremonies Romig asked the public to abstain from individual applause. Saved to the end, a robust ovation occurred when the coterie of 21 made a collective courtly. Announced was also the first dance reserved for fathers and girls, who joined the traditional favorite, “thank you paradise for little girls”.

Hosted by the beginning, the presentation of the gala took place, as it did for years, in the large ballroom of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside hotel, and has become “the opening” of most of the beginner’s season. This set the tone for young adults involved, as well as their families, concerning customs, traditions and inclusion of the season, which culminates at the end of the carnival.

For hours, the large ballroom was filled with delights associated with any year of beginners. Close Kin and Kith gathered, as are some alumni of the goal, the future Debs and the members of the board of directors. With a nod to summer socialization, the guests were invited to put on the formal use that is suitable for the occasion. Light colors, as well as white linen costumes for men and pastels for women, dominated the dress.

Once the doors of the ballroom open, the guests – most of them attend the invitation of the parents of the HonorĂ© 21 – found their tables to wait for the presentation. Post Curtsies, and the impressive collective Curnois, the participants mixed and then lines the food tables for the tasty breakfast price. The bars were closed during the presentation and mobile phone photos (or other types) were strictly prohibited throughout the evening.

The beginners’ mothers had reserved seats on the floor room floor. Like many, and divided in two, they flanked the central aisle used for the presentation. Later, as they treated with their fathers, the girls made half a covered in front of their mother in loving homage.

The quartet hailed for 2025 was gentlemen Michael Shepherd Baumer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kristen Michael Baumer; Lynton Guy Cook IVson of Mr. and Mrs. Cook III; John McDonald CURCUTE II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Morrison CURCE JR.; And Walker McCall Montgomery, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bullard Montgomery IV.

Now for young women! Directing the big land was Miss Cameron Sinclair Andrews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Todd Michael Andrews. The song she chose to accompany her while she and her father treated was “Ring of Fire”. The next two were failed Patricia Randle Aucoin And Emma Rose Baumer, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Henry Aucoin Jr. And what precedes Mr. and Mrs. Baumer, and whose songs were “Here come the Sun” and “How Sweet It Is”.

Then came to miss Kate Faulkner Bensel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Charles Bensel, “Right on money”; Ashley Conner Ellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Conner Ellis III, to “in the mystic”; Eliza Brandon Favrot, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy SEMMES FAVROT, to “Sweet Home Alabama”; And Kelsey Grace French, daughter of Mr. William Darwin French and Mrs. Kara Van de Carr, “When the saints enter.”

The next ones were missing Sarah Cruxel Henrydaughter of Dr and Mrs Edmund Ruffin Henryto “Margaritaville”; Caroline Lebon Henrydaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Edward Henry, to “Sweet Caroline”; Lair Lair Hooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andre von Kurnatowski Hooper, “Isn’t it charming”; Caroline Grace Lebourgois, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Claiborne Lebourgeois Jr., to “Shining Star”; And Catherine Carlisle Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Loftin Martinto “Tupelo Honey”.

Then came to miss Lucile McGlinchey Monsteddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Niels Monsted IVto “Dancing Queen”; Lucy Claire Perschall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Francis Perschall III, To “everything that will be, will be – that will be, will be”; Caroline Picou staple, daughter of Mr. and Mrs David Louis Picouto “my daughter”; Brooke Coleman Reissdaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Joseph Reiss IIIto “beautiful day”; Elizabeth Kathleen Robert, daughter of Dr and Mrs. Kearny Quinn Robert III, at “September”; Elizabeth McLundie Bolton Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Justin Burton Schmidtto “dance in the moonlight”; And Helen Claire Thompsondaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles David Thompson Jr., To “miss you”.

The last two were missed Charlotte Sydney Wirth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Adam Roy Wirth; And Lucie Ellann Williamson, daughter of Mr. George Taylor Brodnax Williamson Jr. and Mrs. James Russell Kelly. Their respective songs were “Dixieland Delight” and “Can’t Tea Myy Eyes of You”. This song, which climbed at the top of the graphics as sung by Frankie Valli, applied to 21 beginners.

In addition to cottery in white horn, summer decorations have attracted the collective eye. Designed by Paul Lacour, There was a black drapery like Drop Drop of stage, work panels in white trellis and pedestals on which small ballot boxes have been placed. They contained a mixture of white flowers, while the centerpieces of the table added pink poses to the white whites that sits at the top of the crisscrossed green ribbons.

Over the evening, the musical momentum in the three generational gathering. Revisiting Lucle Monsted’s song, “Dancing Queen”, the group was a real success. The enthusiasm was contagious as a package of young guests, presenters of the beginning and parents glorified in the generosity of the beloved beat, which all made the royalty of the dance floor.
