There is more than one way to help disseminate science education with the North Carolina Science Festival. Why a “Festival”? A festival is a period of celebration. For us, this means a celebration of a month of science in North Carolina. With so much to cover, we need a whole month to do the justice of our celebration of state sciences. Our goal is to help disseminate scientific education through exciting, educational and fun practical scientific events. The educational, cultural and financial impact of science affects all the Carolinians in the North, and we want to make sure that this continues through future generations.
STEM Professional Volunteers
Without scientists, there would be no scientific festival. Find out how you can make a difference And present your science during the festival.
For educators
Educators are essential for the mission of the NC Science Festival – you prepare future scientists! Join us and participate In the festival with your students.

It’s a month -long event! Stop at any time in April to participate.
Listen carefully and you may be able to hear the revolving cries of loggers carrying downstream logs to Lumber River State Park on the Coastal Science Trail. Today, it is more likely that you will see paddlers and boaters floating between its silent banks. Bordered by cypress draped in the Spanish foam, the river is at home a variety of native fish and magnificent birds, such as safeguarding and prothonotary paruline. Explore an abundance of fauna and vegetable life on this wild and picturesque national river. What will you find when you go?
The NC Science Trail has teamed up with the NC State Parks to bring you seven new treasure hunts this season of scientific festivals. Explore fauna, plants, trees and outdoor leisure activities in state parks through the state. All you have to do is download the Goosechase application, enter the “Joint Code” (XZ4GL7) and start your adventure at the Princess Ann Access Park office. The adventures “will be launched” on March 24 and can be completed at any time throughout the month. Complete at least 7 missions out of 10 and exchange your points at the reception center or the Park office for prices.
