By the President of the United States of America
A proclamation
During the national month of physical condition and sport, we celebrate the fundamental role that physical form and sports play by helping us live longer, better healthy and more fulfilling. Thanks to sports, fitness routines and active stay, we have the opportunity to improve our health, strengthen our communities and build a better future for our country.
For too long, our nation has not prioritized the health and well-being of the American people. This negligence has reached a devastating cost. Consequently, the United States is late on other developed countries in life expectancy, the prevention of chronic diseases and overall public health results.
This era of indifference ended when I took office. I was proud to appoint Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as secretary to health and social services to confront and urgently stop this crisis. I also established the Make America Healthy Again commission, responsible for ensuring that the Americans have access to nutritious food choices, while approaching the causes of chronic infantile diseases. With public health as the cornerstone of my administration, we forge a future where the American people are healthier and stronger than ever.
Commitment and active participation in sports, especially among our young people, are essential to promote a culture of health and physical form. My administration is committed to ensuring that our sports and competitive spaces remain safe, free and accessible for future generations of Americans. During my first mandate, I signed an executive decree to extend children’s participation in sports, promote physical activity, physical form and academic and social benefits of healthy lifestyles. I was also proud to recently sign a decree to keep organic men outside female sports, ensuring that our female athletes are free to compete and excel at a level of fair play.
Together, we build a healthier and more flourishing nation, a nation that defends physical form and well-being, allowing each citizen to reach their full potential and excel in all aspects of life.
Now, therefore, I, Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, under the authority that I am devoted by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, proclaims by this May 2025 as the national month of physical condition and sport. I call on the inhabitants of the United States to integrate the physical form and sports participation in their daily life.
As a testimony of what, I put my hand this twenty-fourth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and the independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-ninth.
Donald J. Trump
