Fox News had anticipated Trump’s immigration measures, which include deploying the military to the border, ending Biden-era parole policies, restoring border wall construction and designating international cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

Trump will also end birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants, suspending refugee resettlement and creating a rapid deportation process that does not allow for asylum, officials told reporters.

Officials told reporters on a press call that Trump would sign an order clarifying the language of the 14th Amendment and stating that the federal government “will not automatically recognize birthright citizenship for the children of illegal aliens born in the United States.

Trump reiterated many of these promises in his speech.
