During April 15 Meeting, Montgomery ISD board of directors approved the purchase of a silent alert system.
Details
The system will allow staff to quickly and discreetly inform school administrators and emergency services in the event of a threat or crisis, said Amanda Davis-Summerville, director of technology and digital learning.
The system works as a portable alert which can be triggered in silence, bypassing the need for telephone calls or intercoms ads. It is designed for a quick response in an emergency such as intruding incidents, medical events or other disturbances on the campus, according to a presentation.
Davis-Summerville said that the training and deployment of the program will take place in August, before the next school year, and Crisis Go is the contract contracted.
Dive into depths
The device, when activated, sends instant alerts to the designated school staff, the police and the first stakeholders, providing the exact location of the user within the school. This type of technology has gained popularity among Texas districts in response to state -scale security mandates and recent legislative changes, depending on the presentation.
The exact cost of the system was not discussed at the meeting.
