Khan joins after almost two and a half years at Spotter, a company that provides initial capital to the creators of YouTube in exchange for license in their content catalog. In its newly created role, it will lead the new digital division of Strand Entertainment, Strand Digital and the creative spearhead.
In the first Strand Digital, Monica will help Strand Entertainment to reject Hollywood and digital to allow traditional creators and talents to thrive in today’s ecosystem, where creators rewrite the rules of consumer engagement to all levels. During her first week, she already signed customers, including Sam Beres de Sambucha, a former banker of Wall Street who became a creator; Aaron Brown of Smokin ‘and Grillin Wit Ab, a former welder who has become a barbecue master; And Marina Mogilko, the multilingual entrepreneur and creator of content that shares ideas on language learning, business and life in Silicon Valley under the nicknames of Linguamarina and Silicon Valley Girl.
Before his visit to Spotter, Khan occupied roles on Facebook, YouTube, Guggenhein Digital Media, IGN Entertainment and AOL.
