In its “Challenge 2025” mid-term business plan, Mitsubishi Motors established the creation of transparent and effective contact points with customers via digital transformation (DX) as a key strategy. The plan is particularly focused on generation Z, which are digital natives and will become the basic group of car purchases and users in 10 years, as well as commercial transformation and the creation of new companies using digital technologies. To achieve this, open innovation or co-creation is positioned as a key measure, involving the development of new services thanks to a collaboration with a diverse range of people and technologies inside and outside the company.
The name of the service, Miland, is derived from the expression “unexplored lands created by Mitsubishi Motors” and was invented in the hope that people would discover new ways of enjoying cars in unexplored territories. This allows young people, especially the Z generation, which does not have cars to feel the joy of having a car. In the virtual world, users can appreciate the possession of cars, drive with friends and personalize their vehicles. Developed in collaboration with JP Universe, a group of creators specializing in immersive space services, the application offers a very immersive and pleasant experience.

Easily have cars in the virtual world
– Users can have digital cars and garages, allowing a simulated car possession of cars. If it is converted into a non -bubble token (NFT), the car becomes a personal asset and can be purchased and sold on the NFT Marketplace (3) Opensea, operated by Ozone Networks, Inc.
