The inaugural Military & Veterans Entertainment Awards granted its management in honor of the media to the vice-president of the PMC Gerry Byrne. The veteran of the Marine Corps has been active for decades in the construction of bridges between military communities and the media and entertainment shopping centers.
The event took place on May 24 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. The latest winners in more than a dozen categories were selected by the National Entertainment Awards Academy for Military and Veterans. The organization sponsors the initiative of scholarships on veterans designed to support the military and the former, while they are pursuing careers in the media and entertainment.
Byrne, former publisher of Variety And New York Media Insider veteran has credited his long career to benevolence that the leaders of the New York Daily News were presented to him. The byrne service in the Marines took place from 1966 to 1969, the last two years of which have been tours in Vietnam. When Byrne returned home to New York, a group of Korean War veterinarians at the Daily News took the Vietnam veterinarian under Wing as a “rescue dog” and promised to teach him the media sector, as Byrne recalled.
“I was part of the family of their veterans. I have never forgotten that,” said Byrne, accepting its price.
Another thing by Byrne has never forgotten was the registration on the zippo lighter that another navy showed him shortly after his arrival in Vietnam: “For those who fought for this, freedom has the taste that the protégé never knows,” he recited for the crowd.

Among the other winners were Traci Park, the member of the Los Angeles municipal council, which represents the 11th district of WestSide, which includes the vast medical center of the Los Angeles West Angeles veterans and the campus. The daughter of an American army veteran, Park, was recognized for her work on veterans’ problems and the strengthening of neighborhoods.
The inaugural Military & Veterans Entertainment Awards were handed over by the American Legion Ronald Reagan Palisades Post 283. He was supported and co-spared by True Religion Brand Jeans, Sag-Aftra, Paramount Studios, New Dawn Treatment Centers, Heroes Linked, Uss Iowa, Vet Stream TV, III Worlds Management.
