SCANABA – Manufacturers of the upper peninsula are invited to explore the future of industry at the Making Michigan Innovation Expo, organized Tuesday by Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center, Automation Alley and Bay College.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. East time, with recording to start at 8:30 a.m. in the 952 conference room of the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay College, 2001 N. Lincoln Road in Sacanaba.
This event is part of MMTC’s state efforts to accelerate the adoption of technology and digital transformation in the manufacturing sector, especially among small and medium -sized enterprises.
Participants can obtain practical information on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, automatic learning and the integration of industry 4.0 technologies, while connecting with leading experts and regional manufacturing leaders.

The event will showcase a main presentation of Andrew Halonen, president of Amatrium, on the implementation of automatic learning and an introduction to generative artificial intelligence.
A featured round table, “Cyber Risk Considerations for Manufacturers”, will include the ideas of Steve Mattson, president and chief executive officer of GLSV, Curt Pennala, CEO and director of Karhu Cyber, Bob Scipione, manager of Michigan’s manufacturing services, and safety instructor.
