In January, Bolton, 71, revealed he had health issues ahead of the 2023 holiday and had undergone “immediate surgery” after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

“Thanks to my incredible medical team, the operation was a success,” he wrote in a statement. Instagram post on January 5.

He added that he plans to spend the next few months recovering with his family, meaning he will have to take a “temporary break from touring.”

“It’s always the hardest thing for me to disappoint my fans or postpone a concert, but there is no doubt that I am working hard to speed up my recovery and start performing again soon,” he said.

In March, he shared an update about his status on social networks.

“Hello everyone, just a quick update: I’m healing well and getting better every day,” he said. “I have enjoyed the company of my daughters and grandchildren during this time at home and I practice on my putting green whenever it is not raining!”

Bolton thanked his fans for their kind messages of support and added that he hoped to see his fans again soon.

“With a lot of time, love and tenderness,” he signed the message.
