Cincinnati (Wxix) – After months of negotiations and tens of thousands of people risked being out of network, Mercy Health announced Wednesday that he concluded an agreement with CIGNA to guarantee network access for patients.
“Mercy Health is pleased to announce that we have concluded a new multi -year commercial insurance contract with CIGNA which maintains all the practices of health doctors, active care hospitals, urgent care centers, ambulatory surgical centers and additional online care sites”, a press release from the director of Mercy Health Communications LISA DYSON.
This occurs after nearly 30,000 health patients mercy was at risk of changing health care due to the negotiations in progress between Mercy Health and Cigna.
There was no interruption in health care care care for Mercy and Cigna patients when negotiations have occurred, according to the Mercy Health website.
Hospitals impacted in the Grand Cincinnati:
- Mercy Health Anderson Hospital
- Mercy Health West Hospital
- Mercy Health Clermont Hospital
- Mercy Health Fairfield Hospital
- Mercy Health Kings Mills Hospital
- The health of the Jewish hospital of the hospital
- Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center
- Mercy Health Urbana Hospital
“We understand that the possibility that the health of mercy is out of network with Cigna has been difficult, and we want to express a sincere gratitude to our patients for their grace and support when we have diligently worked through these negotiations,” wrote Dyson.
The two companies were trying to agree on “securing the appropriate reimbursements that reflect the current health environment” and ensuring access to people to the best care.
According to his website, Mercy Health Practices and Hospitices is still considered in network on April 1 for Ohio patients with CIGNA as an insurance sponsored by the employer.
