Meghan Markle’s lifestyle is stretching controversy on name and logo

The Duchess of Sussex returns her life style company … officially known as American Riviera Orchard to “like never”.

In an Instagram video on Monday… Meghan Markle announced the brand… saying that it is delighted to share its passions for things like gardening and cooking via the new platform.

Markle also mentions that she obtained the name “like never” in 2022 and waited to share the news publicly.

But the brand change stimulates the controversy … because of a small brand of clothing in New York also called “like never”.

In an Instagram publication – the clothing brand shared a declaration saying in part – “During the last 36 hours, there has been a breakdown in support and concern about recent events around our homonymous brand. We are aware. We are not affiliated.

The declaration continues by saying that “as always” became official in 2017 with manufacturing.

Mark Kolski – The owner of New York “like never” – told Sun … he does not have the brand but does not intend to change the name. Since he has been selling clothes since 2017 … he thinks he has had Common Law rights to stay in business. Kolski also says that Markle’s affairs have Netflix power and money behind this … and that he does not have the resources or the legal team to challenge the situation.

At the start of the year – Markle joined Instagram shortly before announcing its new Netflix lifestyle series entitled “With Love Meghan”. He was originally launched on January 15. But was pushed to March 4 due to forest fires in Southern California.

Shortly after Markle announced the change of brand of “like never” this week … Users stressed that the brand logo – with a palm and hummingbird – looks like the coat of arms of Porreres … A small town in Spain.

An initiate said to People magazine that the emblem was designed to be personal – adding “as part of the process, complete global research on the recorded brands has been carried out.”

Prince Harry mentioned the hummingbirds in his memoirs in 2023 … recalling how he found one home after his grandmother – Queen Elizabeth – died … making the bird a symbolic spirit for the couple.

This is not the first time that the Markle brand has faced obstacles. In 2023 – His initial brand request for American Riviera Orchard was partially refused by the American Patent and Brands Bureau … saying that companies are not allowed to brand geographic locations according to Daily Mail.
