Sheridan HS Boys Boys Track and Field: The Sheridan High School’s boys’ athletics team repeated as state champions 4A and won its 4th title in 5 years.
The Broncs were 17½ points better than Star Valley, but it was only the last 2 events, when they were able to distance themselves from the brave in the standings.
The 2 teams as well as the county of Natrona had participated in a race at 3 teams during most of the 3 -day competition.
Chace Morris, senior, says that the last day, he was not satisfied with the place where Sheridan was, and the possible margin of victory should have been more than it was.
On the last day, Morris ended up winning the 100 and 200 meter races, while Otto won the two hedge races.
Rudy Green contributed to a 3rd place in the 400 -meter dashboard.
Star Valley would keep things close with 3 runners in the top 8 of the 1600 -meter race, but the 400 -meter relay team of Sheridan made the final declaration, by establishing a new global state record.
