The speeding ceremony means the completion of the highest structural point of development which, once finished, will increase the capacity of the stadium to more than 60,000, will create a new fan zone covered with 3,000 capacities and will introduce an advanced museum experience.

The development will also see the opening of Medlock, a 401 -room hotel in collaboration with Radisson, as well as a range of food and drinks operating 365 days a year.

The club’s representatives were joined during the event to be completed by apprentices working on development, the construction partner, the SISK and the Manchester municipal council chief, Bev Craig, who all signed a commemorative work of art which will then be permanently installed within the new club museum.

The finished development will bring hundreds of new full -time and part -time jobs, as well as additional occasional roles, to create sustainable sustainable economic and social advantages for the local community of the club, based on the common priorities of the Council and the Club for the regeneration of East Manchester.

The North stand itself will open during the 2025/26 football season, with the hotel, the workspace, food products and drinks and the club fan zone, opening at the end of 2026. These new facilities are alongside the 23500 Capacity Co-Op Live Arena-a joint venture between the city’s football group and the Oak View group.

Commenting on the compression ceremony, City Football Group, chief of the farm, Roel de Vries, said:

“It is a moment of pride for Manchester City and for all the people involved in the club project to create an entertainment destination all year round on the Etihad campus.

“The delivery of this project will allow us to improve and expand our offer to our fans and visitors, both on the day of the day and non-mariage, and to create sustainable economic and social advantages for our local community, based on the Work Work City Football Group offered to East Manchester since 2008.”
