Flagstaff, Arizona (May 29, 2025) – With the football season for less than 100 days, the Northern Arizona football team registered at n ° 19 in the survey of the 25 best media of the Hero Sports FCS.
NAU joins five other Big Sky Conference teams in the Montana state election (n ° 2), Montana (n ° 7), Idaho (n ° 10), UC Davis (n ° 11) and the state of Sacramento (n ° 12).
The Lumberjacks face three of these five teams this season, including the state of Montana (October 4) and Idaho (October 31) at home and UC Davis (October 11) on the road.
The national champions of the FCS on sale in the state of Northern Dakota were chosen first, receiving four votes in first place.
Northern Arizona is headed by the head coach Brian Wright who enters his second year at the helm. During his first season, Wright guided the Lumberjacks to their first appearance in the FCS qualifiers since the 2017 season. Nau put an end to the regular season 8-4 in total and 6-2 in the game of the Big Sky conference, winning its last five games for the longest victories of victories since 2017. The Lumberjacks have finished invainu at home for the third time 5-0 (2015, 1978) and were classified at the national level at the end of the season in the FCS Stats Pert and AFCA ballot.
Nau is launching its season on August 30 in Arizona State.
