Community Mental Health & Wellness Fair, Saturday June 28, 2025, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 5104 York Road, Baltimore, MD

Loyola’s York Road initiative sponsors a Community mental health and well-being fair Saturday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5104 York Road in North Baltimore. The free event is dedicated to healing, connection and community care by bringing together local organizations, well-being and neighbors to promote mental health and provide vital resources to those who need it most.

“This mental health fair was 10 years old,” said Tee Hardy, community scholarship holder for the Resilience district, who has been an organizer of the resident community at the university for several years and has helped organize the fair as part of its scholarship. “We start a movement to reshape the way our community considers and applies mental health care.”

The event will set out local community partners such as the Temple of New African Thought Holistic Wellness Center and the Black Mental Health Allianceas well as a yoga station led by the Black male yoga initiative and a live DJ. Crazy puddingsA catering truck belonging to blacks serving puddings in bananas, fried fish, wings, funnel cake and more, will also be at the event.

Customers can take advantage of the free food of Parkhurst Dining barbecue, gifts, interactive wellness activities such as a assertion wall and craft stations, as well as mental health and health resources.

“This mental health fair was something that TEE had considered and worked so that the Govans community amplifies the importance of mental health awareness and to connect people in need,” said Gia Grier-McGinnis, Dr.ph., executive director of resilience of the district and community engagement. “I hope this is the start of future efforts around well-being and mental health. While we are launching the Community-university center at 5104 York RoadWe hope to offer more events and programs like this. I am also grateful to have the involvement of partners in the Loyola clinical centers campus and I can’t wait to make future means of connecting the campus and the community around this issue. »»

In case of bad weather, the fair will be moved to a rescue location inside the Govans limit church at 5210 York Road.
