LALBC PRESS RELEASE
The Los Alamos Local Business Coalition (LALBC) invites all Los Alamos business owners, residents and stakeholders to participate in a survey regarding the Los Alamos Downtown East Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) and county priorities. This survey aims to gather a broader perspective to illuminate LALBC’s contribution to the county. Results will be used and communicated promptly.
This investigation seeks to understand:
- Perspectives on the Downtown East MRA Plan and Process.
- Community priorities for future development and investment in commercial areas, including the MRA.
- Priorities for using incentives
- Aligning the MRA with broader county priorities.
How to participate:
The survey is available online at https://bit.ly/MRA-Priorities.
priorities. Testers report that the survey takes 4-6 minutes. The investigation will be open until January 5. However, to be considered for your contribution to LALBC’s preliminary contribution to the county, please complete the survey by Friday, December 27. The county this week issued a deadline of Dec. 31, so quick action over the holidays is needed to provide preliminary feedback before the deadline. Complete results will be released after the investigation is closed, provided to the County and sent to the LALBC mailing list.
LALBC encourages everyone to participate and share their valuable perspectives.

LALBC is a small grassroots group that began meeting in November 2024 to discuss how we could improve the local business environment. Members of the initial small group agreed to be part of a steering team that has met several times and is working on how to make a difference. The directing team includes Leslie Linke, Kevin Holsapple, Karen Wray, Carolyn Cowan, Allan Saenz, John Courtright, Shannon CdeBaca and Anna Dillane. There is no leader. We are a group of people who care about Los Alamos and White Rock and want to work toward a positive future for our community.
