Sumter, SC (WIS) – longtime residents of Sumter have opened two new companies, bringing something new to the city.
Tin Lizzies and the international spice and cereal market opened in the fall of 2024.
People from Sumter have said that companies are excellent new food spots.
“When I walked in spices, you were able to experience it,” said Butch Enterline, resident of Manning, “an opportunity to support local businesses like this is a real treat.”
This is what Enterline felt by entering the market for gastronomies of spice and cereals on Bultman Drive to Sumter.
The owner Tammy Gristwood hopes to provide gluten -free, vegan, non -GMO and certified organic products from around the world.
She launched the company in September because it was tired of driving in search of these options which were previously hours.
“And I thought I could not be the only one to do it, and therefore, I decided to open a store and bring these ingredients closer to Sumter,” said Gristwood, “people would put their economic resources in our community instead of the outside.
Todd Touchberry was inspired to open his Cafe Tin Lizzies brunch in November because of his daughter, Elizabeth, who has a cerebral condition called Hydrocephaly.
He led across the country in a Ford Model T to collect funds for his state. During the trip, he spoke of opening the restaurant with his family.
The name of the restaurant is inspired by its two very models.
“Local support; We had people outside the city, Camden, Florida, he was just really surreal how many people stop and support us, “said Touchberry,” it is sometimes emotionally overwhelming. “”
