Reno, nev. (Kolo) – In all likelihood, the more the cameras police have access, the more they can resolve crimes.
“Technology will allow the police, with the permission of our community, to use the cameras already in place,” said Kathryn Nance, chief of the RPD.
The new system is called RSTIC or real -time information center.
“We will be able to use it not only for our daily calls for the service, but for our natural disasters,” added the chief of the Sparks, Chris Crawforth.
RTIC allows you to use live video flows from companies or owners. He also uses without pilot databases of Ariel systems, social media and public security to give the police a better overview of the events as they take place.
“Communication and affirmation of information is still lacking,” said Nance. “What you hear during the call is not always what you will find when you get there.”
The new center is located inside the RPD headquarters on Kuenzli St., the city of Sparks is also one of them. Nance says they launched Soft RTIC in one of the busiest nights in downtown Reno – and it was very effective.
“We launched Soft during the Santa Crawl with great success,” she said. “Help in many arrests in a timely manner.”
The more people and businesses record their cameras with this new system, the more effective it will be. If you are interested in doing exactly this, simply fill out the form https://connectreno.org.
