Charleston, SC (WCSC) – The Live 5 First Alert weather team joins this year with the children’s museum to hire children and their families in the science of weather forecasts and meteorology.
Live 5 First Alert Meteorologists will be at the Museum of the Center-Ville de Charleston as part of the second scientific initiative on Saturday the second Saturday of each month until 2025. They will demonstrate experiences and apprenticeship documents focused on meteorological subjects monthly.
There will also be gifts.
The science of the second Saturday is included with admission to the museum.
“It is important that our meteorologists leave the screen and interact with the community,” said Brian Daugherty, Vice-President and Managing Director of Live 5. “This is an excellent complementary experience with the Live 5 exhibition Which is currently at Lowntry Children’s Museum and who knows, a future live meteorologist can be present. ”
“This partnership with Live 5 shows that scientists can even be household names,” said Karen Coltrane, CEO of Lowcountry Children Museum. “We are delighted that the first alert weather team makes education Stem fun.”
