BELLINGHAM, Washington (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Winter weather continues in Whatcom County with wind and rain in the lowlands and epic snowfall in the North Cascades. This is good news for skiers and snowboarders, but also for those looking to do something comfortable.
THE Mount Baker Ski Area is hit by snow and that shouldn’t change much this weekend. Powder seekers and lovers of winter wonders in the mountains an hour east of Bellingham will undoubtedly wake up early and head to the slopes. Baker currently has a base of 88 inches at Heather Meadows with a whopping 108 inches at the top of Pan Dome. These are the conditions we dream of all year, so head east and enjoy them.

Mount Baker Ski Area rents all the equipment you need, but you can also rent it right here in Bellingham. Backcountry Essentials And Yeager Sporting Goods have everything you need to enjoy a day in the mountains. You can also go through the Glaciers ski store going up.
