For all library rats in the county of WhatCom, there is a big event in village books in Lynden on Saturday. The author Nancy Canyon will be in town to talk about his new Stuck Book: A season on Fire Lookout. Stuck tells the story of Canyon’s time with her husband in 1971 working at the Corral Hill Lookout in Idaho.
Canyon is a resident of Bellingham and holds a MFA from the Pacific Lutheran University. The event starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are $ 5 or $ 22 with a copy of the book. Go to Villageois.com For all the details.
Our live show this week is on Friday evening February 7 at Shakedown in downtown Bellingham. Lightnin ‘Luke is a moving and multi-instrumentalist singer who plays roots, folk and country music. He currently lives in Charleston, in South Carolina and plays a violin for the Bridge City Sinners, but he will tear the scene solo for this one.
