WHATCOM COUNTY, WAMyBellinghamNow.com) – A rainy weekend is predicted in Whatcom County, but that doesn’t mean you have to be a homebody. You can experience theater, art, and live music. There’s also an event to support a great cause and another chance to take photos with Santa. So, grab your rain gear and go have some fun.

Many of us are familiar with the show Lost that aired on ABC from 2004 to 2010 and remember the impact it had on our collective psyche. Many of us were also disappointed by the end of the series. Luckily, the folks at Upfront Theater have a solution. Totally Lost, an improv parody of the series, will air Friday December 13 and Friday December 20 at 9:30 p.m.

Each show will be a new adventure where the audience will decide the fate of the characters and the scenarios they will face on this now infamous island. Will they leave the island or get “totally” lost? If you want to take part in the adventure, and perhaps create a new, more satisfying end to the show, buy your tickets now at theupfront.com.

Are you looking for something else to do this weekend that’s sure to be just as fun and absurd? Head towards the ie Gallery in Edison to discover Bugs in a Bowla posthumous exhibition by Bellingham artist Thomas Wood. The exhibition celebrates the wit, humanity and satire of Wood’s famous prints.

While you’re in Edison, you can grab some food or a drink at The Old Edison, Terramar Brewstillery, The Edison Café, or any of the other amazing spots in the area. Bugs in a Bowl will continue until January 26.

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend that also supports a good cause, you’re in luck. The Jingle Bell Run will take place on Saturday, December 14 in Bellingham. It’s a fun way to be festive, get some exercise and raise money to cure arthritis. The party starts at 8 a.m. at Bellingham High School. There will be a costume contest, a kids’ fun run, and a 5K run/walk through downtown, the Lettered Streets area, and back down Cornwall Avenue.

Registration for the Jingle Bell Run is open until Saturday. You can register here.

If you’re still looking to take photos with Santa, we’ve got you covered. Christmas at Bellewood Farms started on December 7 and will continue until next Saturday. So tomorrow you can head to Lynden from noon to 4 p.m. for free photos, gift shopping, or just to sip a spiked hot cider. Bellewood also offers fresh cut Christmas trees for sale.

Our featured live show this week takes place at the Wild Buffalo. Dean Johnson will be in town Saturday to perform with Robert Sarazin Blake and Anna Arvan. It’s a rare opportunity to get lost in Johnson’s folk singing, as the legendary songwriter spends most of his time as a bartender at Al’s Tavern in Seattle.

The show starts at 8:30 p.m. and you can buy tickets at wildbuffalo.net.

Enjoy your festive weekend!
