Spartina 449, a brand of female lifestyle founded in South Carolina, opens a retail store in downtown St. Augustine.
Scheduled at 152 St. George St., the store will renovate the space occupied by HW Davis clothes and shoes. It remains open for the moment.
Christy Sheets, director of income for Spartina 449, said that the site of Saint-Augustin responded to growing demand in Florida.
The brand has retail operations, large and electronic commerce for its low level and conservative styles.
Spartina 449 sells clothes, handbags, accessories, clothes, jewelry and gifts, including linen and leather items.
“Our company roughly and E-Com has so many customers in Florida, so we knew that we wanted to be there,” said Sheets.
“We had a really special opportunity in St. George and we couldn’t resist.”
An opening date has not been determined, she said.
The city of St. Augustine issued a building permit on March 25 for the project at a cost of $ 100,000. The design of construction Len Weeks is the entrepreneur. Robert Revocable Trust is the owner of the property.
According to the permit, the renovation work includes the installation of new flooring, ceiling, lighting and a showcase.
It will be the 14th retail store of Spartina 449 and third in Florida, with other places in the villages and Dunedin. A store in the city center of St. Johns which opened its doors in 2019 is now closed permanently and has been replaced by Southern Tide, a clothing and clothing store.
The brand also operates four store stores in South Carolina and Georgia.
Spartina 449 was founded in 2009 by Kay Stanley, who lived on the island of Daufuskie near Hilton Head in South Carolina. The name comes from the grass found along the coast of the South Carolina and the Chalet de Stanley issue.
