LEGOLAND Florida dismissals 234 employees, mainly of his entertainment team, according to a notice of January 28 sent by the operator Merlin Entertainments.
The layoffs will begin on March 25 and will continue until April 7, the opinion of the Florida economic opportunities department.
It also reveals that most staff members assigned to Winter Haven themed park are artists or entertainment support staff.
The opinion indicates that layoffs will be permanent. Cutting positions include artists, stage managers, technicians and others.
According to the opinion, none of the affected employees are represented by the unions and Merlin did not give a reason for layoffs.
“At the Legoland Florida Resort, we make operational changes to help us raise customer experience in 2025 and beyond. This includes changes in the way we deliver entertainment, “said a Legoland representative in a press release.
“The decision to reduce the size of some of our teams has undoubtedly been difficult, but these changes will allow the station to operate more flexible and reactive on a competitive market.”

Located 45 minutes from Orlando and Tampa, Legoland Florida Resort is home to a Legoland theme park and a Legoland water park, as well as a Peppa Pig themed parkand three themed hotels.
The 150 acres theme park offers more than 60 rides, live shows and attractions.
Last year, Merlin Entertainments appointed an industry veteran Franceen Gonzales As a new president of the Legoland Florida park.
