Monroe, Louisiana (Knoe) – Louisiana Delta Community College revives its process technology program in the fall of 2025 in order to strengthen state labor and build economic development in Louisiana.
The program will prepare students for careers in manufacturing and maintenance that play a key role in chemical, wood, energy, artificial and biofuel industries of Louisiana.
With partnerships of major industry partners such as strategic biofuels, graphic packaging and others, the LDCC process technology program will offer a practical equipment experience.
Students who join the program will obtain a diploma diploma in process technology and will be ready to go directly to jobs with departure wages up to $ 50,000 per year.
Charles Stevenson, president of the Division of Industrial Technologies at the LDCC, said: “Students have the possibility of having practical experience here in the laboratory with pumps and real valves, the same things they will use in the field.”
The program should also Attract new partnerships in the region.
Dr. Paul Schubert, CEO of Strategic Biofuels, said: “By having formed technicians available, it attracts industry and this shows businesses that if they move in this area, they will have access to a workforce not only to people who have been in the field, but including the next generation of Louisiana’s workforce.”
