Latest renderings of new Aloha Stadium imagine entertainment wonderland

The latest renderings of the New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District project were presented to the Aloha Stadium Authority on Thursday by representatives of the development group Aloha Halawa District Partners.

The planned opening of Aloha Stadium and other elements of the project is August 2028.

Although the new multi-purpose stadium is the centerpiece, the project also includes the development of 78 acres surrounding the 20 acres covered by the stadium, which will seat 25,000 and can be expanded.

Parliament allocated $450 million for the construction of the stadium, with the rest being financed by private partners.

They will also operate and maintain the stadium and, in exchange, will be able to benefit from other NASED developments.

If the public-private partnership works as intended, taxpayers bear no additional costs.

The old stadium will not be demolished before the finalization of a contract between the State and the AHDP, expected for the summer of 2025.
