The Kansas baseball team beat the Kansas State twice on Saturday at the Hoglund Ballpark to finish the Jayhawks’ first scan in the confrontation of the sunflower since 2019.
The result allowed Ku to jump two games before the Wildcats in the Big 12 ranking, returning to one equal to three for second place in the conference at 12-6 in the league, and 31-10 in total.
He also completed an undefeated week of 4-0 for the Jayhawks to counterbalance the previous 0-4 weeks which had blocked their momentum and abandoned them from the national ranking.
The two matches on Saturday-the double-head was planned in anticipation of the weather-started with the first 3-1 advances for K-State, before the Wildcats are fighting to score during the remaining rounds.
In the first half of the double-head, the leaving Cooper Moore resisted his first annoying heats and ended up making eight sleeves before Alex Breckheimer took his second stop in the series; Ksu did not score a round for the last six images and Ku won 6-3.
In the second game of the day, the Wildcats briefly advanced at 4-3 on a double of Maximus Martin after losing their early advance. But a flying sacrifice by the hero of Friday evening, Jackson Hauge, again equalized the match, and the double of the rule of the soil of Brady Counsell was 6-4.

Martin’s out -of -competition day – all in all, 6 -in -8 with three products produced – was not enough for the Wildcats, because the rest of their team succeeded in 10 strokes in the two games.
Ku will seek to avenge one of his previous defeats when he went to face the Nebraska for a mid -week match at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday. The next Jayhawks series of conferences is on the last place in Utah from Friday.
