Patients should also come to their planned appointments or surgery unless one of the Kettering Health clinical teams calls for reprogramming.
The administrators of Kettering Health said that the cyber attack on May 20 on their technological system had caused a large -scale failure and had been caused by ransomware, although they declared that they had no direct contact with the attacker and did not pay any ransom.
Kettering Health’s emergency rooms, on -demand care sites and urgent concerns continue to be opened during this breakdown.
Kettering Health has recently been able to recover his radiation technology in online oncology, according to his social media, so that they can return to patients who undergo radiotherapy.
Back to paper cartography
As the technology failure continues, Kettering health personnel has returned to the use of paper graphics instead of the holding of digital files.
“One of our priorities here has been to ensure the stability of our nursing staff,” said Danielle Gambrel, authorized nurse of Kettering Health, in a recent video on social networks, explaining the process of standardized flow sheets of the hospital system.
“We wanted to make things simple where, if obstetrics) descended, they could descend and know where to find the forms they need for their unit,” said Gambrel, describing how the forms are developed and ready to go for each department.
“By ensuring that our team has a coherent process to follow, allowing us to provide this highest level of care to our patients,” said Gambrel.
Kettering health patiens unable to access Mychart
As the hospital system creates yield processes to continue to see patients while not having access to some of its technology and digital patients, patients who are at different times in their treatments continue to wait for answers because they are always unable to access Mychart.
Several people have told this media that they still had not been able to access Mychart, a patient portal to the digital patients of patients this week.
Patients who were about to start processing processes for serious health problems are also blocked while waiting to know when the system is fixed and when they can get in touch with the staff they need.
Denise McGrew of Sabina was recently diagnosed with breast cancer after the doctors discovered a tumor after mammography.
After having made a biopsy, she was supposed to be scheduled with a surgeon, said McGrew, but she has never heard of Kettering’s health before her breakdown.
“They told me that I had to undergo surgery to have it removed, and I was waiting for the surgeon’s office to call to plan the appointment,” said McGrew.
When she did not hear about her doctor, McGrew tried to call them, but her calls would not make. At the start of this week, McGrew was also unable to access Mychart.
“I couldn’t contact anyone,” said McGrew.
As she could not be planned with a doctor beforehand, McGrew is concerned about the impact of her health with this continuous delay in care.
“I fear that the more time, that it will get worse,” said McGrew. “I do not know if it is the type that will develop so quickly or not, but I just worry more than more I need to enter and be seen and delete it, that it will grow and grow.”

For urgent medical needs after hours, weekends and holidays, patients from the Kettering Health Medical Group can call Matchmd at 1-866-257-5363, but otherwise for urgent medical issues, patients can call the temporary clinical support line.
