Former vice-president Kamala Harris appeared during the Met 2025 gala on Monday, a few days after her return on the public scene, where she delivered her first major speech since Lose the 2024 presidential election.
It was Harris’s first time for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s costume Institute. In a Interview with Vogue Published before the Blue Carpet event, Harris stressed the importance of art and how he intertwines with politics.
“Art has always had a significant impact not only on culture, but also our policies and our policies,” Harris told Vogue. “Artistic expression – be it dance, music, visual arts or fashion – has a way to capture the mood and language of people without words. Art has the power to shape the conversation on where we are today and where we have to go.”
To embrace the theme of the Gala puts 2025, inspired by the exhibition of the Met “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, the old vice-president wore a white black and white dress designed by the creative director of the brand IB Kamara, according to Vogue. Harris attended her husband, Doug Emhoff, said Vogue.
While politicians are not foreigners at Met Gala, many of them have been local legislators in New York in recent years, including Mayor Eric Adams and representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In 2022, Hillary Clinton returned to the biggest night of fashion 21 years after his beginnings. And in 1977, Ronald Reagan attended the Met Gala between his California Governor conditions and President of the United States.
Harris may consider his own political return.
Speaking in San Francisco last week, in his first major public remarks since his presidential defeat in 2024, Harris castigated President Trump’s economic agendaincluding its prices. She also suggested that she had conversations on her future, while California is preparing to elect her next governor in 2026 and that the Democrats were looking for a presidential candidate to present themselves in 2028.
“Everyone asks me:” Well, what did you think these days “,” she said.
Familiar sources with Harris’ thought told CBS News that it weighed an offer from governor in his country of origin, a third round as president or not seek to elected.
