In 2020, Kim joined Monroe and Ken Brown, her longtime collaborators, to launch the Duke Quantum CenterWho brings together teachers from all over the university to put information on quantum IT and quantum information to work on a variety of scientific problems and real world applications. In addition to two decades, DQC members have collectively attracted more than $ 250 million in funding to government, university and industrial partners. Kim is the associate director of the center.

Jungsang Kim
Recipient of numerous prizes for his research, Kim is a member of the National Academy of Inventors, of the American Physics Society and Optica (formerly Optical Society of America). He resigned as director of IONQ technology in March 2024.

Duke launched DST in 2019 to raise excellence in science through the retention and recruitment of teachers. The effort to collect funds has helped to recruit or keep more than 40 high -level researchers with a specific accent on the science of materials, IT and the resilience of the body and the brain.
