Tottenham consider the future of Alejo Veliz after the first silent season
The strategic reshuffle continues under Thomas Frank
Tottenham Hotspur’s summer activities take a rhythm, and one of the arrivals of last year could now go to the exit door. According to TalksportSpurs are “open to the sale of striker Alejo Veliz this summer”, in what would be a silent conclusion to a decision that has never been completely inflamed.

Signed by Rosario Central in 2023 for 13 million pounds sterling, Veliz came with a promise and a pedigree of the Argentinian youth system. But after only eight appearances in a Tottenham shirt and a lonely objective, the 21 -year -old future is now elsewhere.

No advanced discussions for the Argentinian return yet
Although media speculations in Argentina have linked the Racing club to a move, Talksport is clear that “the club has not yet received an official offer for Argentina, without any potential offer currently at an advanced stadium.”
Ben Jacobs echoed this feeling, declaring: “The Alejo Veliz suggestions are close to the race are wide.

Veliz has spent the last months on loan in Seville and Espanyol, but none of the relays moved the dial. The lack of impact of the attacker in the Liga reflects a player always adapting to the requirements of European football, and perhaps needed a restart at home.
Summer summer in progress
Veliz’s situation is only part of a wider transition to Spurs. Thomas Frank, replacing Angel Postcoglou after the Australian delivered a long -awaited trophy, supervises which looks like a measured remodeling of the team.
The permanent transactions for the former Loanees Kevin Danse and Mathys such are already confirmed. Kota Takai, the Japanese international, also joined, adding to a young and athletic profile that the new boss seems eager to cultivate.

At the same time, there was also a movement outside the north of London. Fraser Forster and Sergio Reguilon will leave at the end of June, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joined Marseille. Veliz, it seems, could soon follow them from the club, if an official offer arrived.

Long -term planning in attack
Veliz’s departure would open other Tottenham long -term attacks. Richarlison remains the main man at the top, but with injuries and an inconsistency distressing his time at the club, the depth is essential. Mathys such can offer a front road, but others could still be sought because Frank balances European and national priorities.

In the case of Veliz, raw figures do not do much to compete in a sale. Spurs have made a reasonable investment, but in a high -tempo premier league system, Veliz’s development was never aligning on tactical needs. A move to Racing Club would offer a new start and may perhaps rekindle its trajectory in a more familiar environment.
Our point of view – Analysis of the EPP index
For fans of Tottenham, the story of Veliz is a case of what could have been, or what was never. Upon arrival, there was a cautious excitement: a young talented attacker from Rosario Central, who seemed to adapt to the longer term reconstruction. But football moves quickly and eight appearances with little impact speaks volumes.
There is no bitterness here. Spurs fans have already seen this story, a promising talent unable to settle in Europe. A loan, then another, and ultimately a mutual understanding that it is time to move on. If Veliz returns to Argentina, especially at Racing Club, most supporters will just wish him good luck.

The reshuffle of this summer, now led by Thomas Frank, feels concentrated. Dance and such add solidity and promise, while Takai is one for the future. The objective seems to be more pragmatic, more led by the system. For Veliz, there may never have been an appropriate role in this vision.
In truth, it is a clean break that is suitable for all sides. And for Spurs, it is only another step forward in a summer of evolution considered and necessary.
