The passing of the holidays and the cold, wintry weather can make you feel, without singing, the blues.

So get back in tune in January with some live from Joliet musicmusical anecdotes, a narrative that begins with music, a comedy play about a murder mystery about actors collaborating on a musical, and a free, family-friendly concert with a petting zoo of musical instruments.

Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park Theater

Musical Comedy Murders of 1940: 7 p.m. January 24, January 25, January 31 and February 1 and 2 p.m. January 26 and February 2, Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park Theater, 201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet.

The Joliet Drama Guild will present this wacky thriller that revolves around actors rehearsing for a musical in the 1940s and the murders of three choristers.
