Dementia Friendly screenings feature an exclusive selection of classic films and musicals and encourage audience participation while providing guests with special door-to-door service. Breakfast and a Movie and Lunch and a Movie allow guests to enjoy a full meal and discounts while watching their movie.

SCREENINGS OF SENSORY FILMS
Some Emagine locations will host a unique, sensory screening twice a month, with specific modifications made to ensure an enjoyable experience for people with sensory needs and their companions. Their sensory-friendly programming makes going to the cinema a more enjoyable experience for families, children and teenagers with sensory needs. All sensory films will be projected in 2D.*Note that no changes have been made to the film.
What does Sensory Friendly mean?
First, it means a friendly sensory experience (lights up a little, sounds a little). Second, if your child needs to get up, move, dance, sing… No problem. Third, guests are asked to bring a safe snack in case of a food allergy or food avoidance/restriction.

ADAPTED SCREENING FOR DEMENTIA
Dementia-friendly screenings include exclusively selected classic films and musicals, presented in a unique setting with softer ambient sound and lighting. Guests can interact during the presentation and are encouraged to respond, clap, tap their feet, sway, sing, stand and dance.
Emagine works with local organizations to offer customers a special door-to-door experience guided by a team of dementia-friendly ‘Purple Angels’. These staff and volunteers serve as guides to guests from the moment they arrive until they leave.
