John Brenkus – The host of the Emmy -Award winning program “Sport Science” – died by suicide last week, the Department of Health of Virginia, said the chief legalist TMZ SPORTS.
The Brenkus family announced the transition to the public on Sunday – writing in a statement on X that Brenkus “had fought against depression”.
“John lost his fight with this terrible disease on May 31, 2025,” they said. “His family and friends with a broken heart are wondering about confidentiality at the moment and encourage anyone who is struggling with depression to ask for help.”
Brenkus created “Sport Science” in the early 2000s … and he gained global popularity after his visit to ESPN, because fans loved the unique look he gave in the way world class athletes occur at elite levels.
