Halifax police arrested a fifth individual in relation to the homicide From a 16 -year -old Halifax boy who disappeared in 2022, arousing a general concern in the community.
Thursday, Mark Douglas Robert Doyle, 40, was arrested and accused of being an accessory after murder. He must appear before the court today to face these accusations.
Devon Sinclair Marsman was last seen in the Spryfield region in Halifax on February 24, 2022. After an in -depth investigation, the police announced last year that Devon had been the victim of a homicide.
Since then, several individuals have been charged as part of his death.
Theresa Gray, Devon’s mom, says she is happy that all these arrests come out. “I have never seen so many people arrested for a 16-year-old child,” she told Global News in an interview. “It’s disgusting.”
Among them, Treyton Marsman, 26, the parent of Devon, was accused of second degree murder, of unworthiness with human remains and obstruction to justice.

According to a police press release from the Halifax police services, a 20 -year -old man, who was a youngster at the time of the murder, faces accusations of accessories after murder and hinders justice.
In addition, two women, Emma Maria Meta Casey, 23, and Chelsey Herritt, 26, were also accused of accessories after killing, indignity with human remains and obstruction to justice.
Halifax regional police chief, Don Maclean, confirmed That the accused have a family link to the victim, but he did not reveal more details concerning their specific relations.
“I knew for a while that they anticipated another arrest,” said Devon’s mother. “I know that this person is Treyton’s brother, but other than that, I don’t know him.”
“I picked up the remains yesterday. Just to think that I have my son at home sitting in an urn at 16 is shameful. They did not give him the opportunity to grow, they cut his short life, “added Gray.
She also expressed her frustration with regard to the judicial process which she said. “I think everything in the justice system must be adjusted, to be honest-times, expectations,” she said.
While the investigation continues, the community awaits answers and justice for Devon Sinclair Marsman.
