The Israeli forces killed at least 27 Palestinians and injured 90 while opened fire near a Rafah aid distribution site, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

The last murders occurred early Tuesday at the flag roundabout near a help center operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) in southern Gaza.

It was the third incident of this type around Rafah Hub in as many days. Gaza authorities have indicated that more than 100 assistance seekers have been killed Since the GHF supported by the United States and Israel began to operate in the enclave on May 27 as a report of violence, looting and chaos are riveted.

The Israeli army said it had fired when “a certain number of suspects” erected regulated roads, on which a crowd was heading for the GHF distribution complex.

The “suspects” were around 500 meters (550 yards) from the site, the army said in a statement on Telegram, adding that it was considering victims.

The number of deaths was confirmed by Zaher al-Waheidi, head of the Department of Files of the Gaza Ministry of Health.

A spokesman for the Red Cross International Committee, Hisham Mhanna said that 184 injured had been taken to his country hospital in Rafah, 19 of whom died when they arrived and eight later died of their injuries.

The video checked by the Al Jazeera Sanad fact checking agency has shown the arrival of dozens of people injured in the hospital.

The Gaza Government Media Office accused Israel of “a horrible and intentionally repeated crime”, saying that it attracted hungry Palestinians to GHF centers – opened its doors after a total Israeli blockage of 11 weeks to use the major part of the distribution of aid of the United Nations and other aid agencies – then opening fires.

He said that Tuesday’s deaths had caused the number of assistance applicants killed on the Rafah governorate and netzarim corridor assistant sites since GHF launched operations at 102 with 490 people injured.

The GHF later announced that its distribution centers will be closed on Wednesday, invoking the need for “work to improve update, organization and efficiency”. He indicated that entering these food distribution sites is prohibited and that they will reopen on Thursday.

UN on Monday asked for an independent investigation In repeated shooting of Assistance to Gaza.

“It is unacceptable that the Palestinians risk their lives for food,” said UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. “I call an immediate and independent investigation into these events and that the authors must be held responsible.”

“We heard witnesses that there were chaos,” said Hind Khoudary of Al Jazeera, reporting the murders of Deir El-Balah Tuesday in the center of Gaza. “Israeli forces have opened fire at random, shooting the Palestinians, … using quadcopters and living ammunition.”

Officials and doctors from the Ministry of Health said most of the injured had been affected in the chest and head, she added.

The bloodshed, she continued, had taken place in the same way as the previous two days in the middle of the chaos in progress in the aid distribution centers.

“There is no process. There is no system, ”she said. “You just have to run first to get food.”

‘Anyway, we will die’

Witness Rasha al-Nahal told the Associated Press news agency that “there were shots of all directions” and she saw more than a dozen dead and several injured on the road.

When she finally arrived at the distribution center, there was no help, said Al-Nahal, adding that Israeli soldiers “pulled us on us by returning”.

Another witness, Neima al-Aaraj, by Khan Younis described the shooting as “blind”.

“I will not come back,” she said. “Anyway, we will die.”

Gaza aid
Aid applicants claim that the situation on the Rafah AID distribution site is chaotic because the Gaza government media office said that the number of deaths from Israeli fires is 102 (AFP)

The Israeli army, in its statement on Telegram, said the soldiers had drawn warning plans because people did not use “designated access roads” and “after the suspects failed to withdraw, additional photos were directed near a few individual suspects that advanced to the troops”.

However, he denied having shot civilians or preventing them from access to help.

This account echoes the declarations on similar incidents on Sunday when 31 applicants were killed and on Monday, when three others were killed.
